Support might look like
01
Daily living & independence
Supporting everyday activities such as meal preparation, shopping, household routines, organisation and other practical skills.
04
Social participation
Supporting young adults to pursue interests, participate in social opportunities and build meaningful community connections.
02
Employment support
Building workplace confidence, routines and practical skills while supporting participants to work towards their employment-related NDIS goals.
05
Greater choice and control
Supporting participants to make decisions about their routines, activities, goals and the people involved in their support.
03
Community access
Providing the assistance required to access appointments, activities, services, recreation and community environments.
06
Preparing for greater
independence
Working towards individual goals around independent living and adult responsibilities at a pace appropriate for the participant.

A participant may need very different support at 21 than they did at 11 — but that doesn't necessarily mean they need a completely different person beside them.
Where a strong and appropriate relationship already exists, we aim to allow the role of the support worker to evolve with the participant.
That might mean providing more assistance in a new area, stepping back as a skill develops, or supporting an entirely new goal.
